KMDB’s new fully mechanical disc braked axle is now available for purchase.
The disc braked axle works from the same over-run type system as the drum brake. There is no requirement for hydraulics or pneumatic input. Simply install the coupler and axle for a fully functional, superior and safer braking option for your trailer.
The brake and coupler are made from cast steel, which increases durability and reduces weathering. The disc brake calliper uses a standard brake pad that is available at all auto spares outlets.
The KMDB disc braked axles are currently available in varying lengths, with a capacity of 1600Kgs. All components are SABS certified and we have homologated single and double axle trailers with the NRCS.
